Short Description
The Manufacturer enters the game when the Medical Supplies need to be procured. Since the medical supplies are distributed from the Manufacturer directly to the Country, the role of the Manufacturer is to Enter the estimated delivery dates into WIMEDS. These dates can then be tracked by the different actors.
Tasks
Create and dispatch shipment - click for more details
When the forecast of a given country is approved by all the corresponding actors, a Procurement Order created at WHO HQ and is sent to the Manufacturer. To this end, a task is created for the manufacturer to start honoring the Procurement Order.
What triggers the task: This task is triggered when the Technical Officer creates and submits a new Procurement Order for the Manufacturer.
What happens after the task is completed: This task initiates a new sub-process which involves several actors. That is shipments need to be created by the WHO HQ Programme Manager and once they are confirmed by the Manufacturer, a Green Light needs to be given by the country.
